Get to know me!

I am native of Newark, New Jersey who enjoys all things educational and creative. From working with young students within classrooms, instructing college students, and working on side projects, I always find a way to keep my mind busy!

I earned a BA in English with a minor in Studio Art from the then College of Saint Elizabeth (now known as Saint Elizabeth University). While serving my first year as a Reading Coach for second grade students in AmeriCorps, I decided to pursue a MA in English Writing Studies at Kean University. From my experience within that MA program and using open online education as form of scholarly work, I began the Graduate Certificate Program in Technical Communication at NJIT. While doing the program, I found my love for education technology and instructional design. While pursuing traditional education, I self taught myself web development (HTML & CSS), while also creating sample and practical projects for my ID portfolio.

I am currently still serving as an AmeriCorps member in the role of academic support person for third grade students, while also working as an adjunct professor at Saint Elizabeth University in Writing and Context Lit (alongside other fun projects that I have been a part of!). I am very curious mind that takes the initiative to learn both in and outside of the classroom.

Alongside my educational interest, I am also a passionate artist that works in both digital and traditional formats. I use the power of social media to connect with others! If you are interested in connecting please check out my social medias
